By inspiring and engaging individuals and communities, Resilience Somali TV strives to end discrimination against the marginalized community in Somalia. Democracy defends fundamental fairness, justice, and equality on the guarantee of equal rights under the law and freedom from discrimination for all individuals in the society. Under a democratic rule, citizens are assured of equality and embraced as full members of Somali society at home, at work, and in every community. If the rights and freedoms of one segment of the population are violated with impunity, the same sorts of abuses are likely to be visited on others. There is no separation between the values we hold and the way we approach our work in Somalia. We know that only through dedication and determination will we realize a world where we are all considered equal opportunities for all Somali people. Those forced to endure a subordinate status have less incentive to play by the rules, creating the most vicious cycle of defiance and repression of equality our country has ever seen. But despite this progress, our most marginalized sectors are still suffering from violence, discrimination, and fear. Our goal is to ensure that all we live with justice and equal opportunity. A person is free to live their life openly, with their equal rights ensured. We know that this goal requires that we keep educating, supporting, and inspiring ourselves and each other. In the spirit of that continual growth, we’ve compiled information and advice on a range of topics.
