Stand for Racial Justice: Equality for All

Racial Justice is vital to creating a fair and inclusive society. We are dedicated to challenging systemic discrimination, promoting equality, and empowering marginalized communities to break down barriers and build a more just future for all. Join us in our mission to foster understanding, amplify voices, and drive meaningful change toward racial justice.

Civil Society

When governments fail; and opposition parties can’t provide an alternative, civil society organizations step up to identify abuses and push for reforms. Resilience Somali TV equips local civic groups with tools to promote democratic governance. A firm civil society is essential for thriving communities, and Resilience Somali TV empowers independent groups to shape policy, keep governments accountable, and promote peace, human rights, and citizen problem-solving.

Democracy

Resilience Somali TV unites academic practitioners and industry experts to enhance Somalis’ dedication to democratic political engagement. Together, we’ll pinpoint promising, scalable interventions and conduct one of the largest randomized social justice experiments. We prioritize short, effective interventions that can reach millions in Somalia, unlike time-consuming, in-person interventions that require multiple exposures. Our interventions must align with our core values. Join us in promoting democratic principles and social equality in Somalia.

Equality

Growing concerns about anti-democratic attitudes, partisan violence, and animosity endanger Somali democracy. While many have proposed solutions, a collaborative platform for testing these ideas has been lacking. We are combining crowd-sourced ideas with rigorous experimentation to address this pressing issue. By contributing your ideas, you can help tackle critical challenges in Somalia. If selected, you’ll have the chance to validate your solution and potentially become our partner in fostering a healthier democracy.

Equality & Human Rights

Resilience Somali TV strives to eliminate discrimination against marginalized groups in Somalia through inspiration and engagement. In a democracy, every citizen is entitled to equal rights and freedom from discrimination, ensuring fairness, justice, and equality for all. However, when one group’s rights are violated, it jeopardizes everyone’s rights. Our mission is to promote equal opportunities and combat discrimination through education, support, and inspiration. Despite progress, marginalized communities still face violence and discrimination. We provide resources and guidance to promote growth and empowerment towards achieving a just and equal society where individuals can live freely with guaranteed rights.

Justice and Equality Campaign

Somalia’s marginalized groups, like the Bantus, have long been excluded from educational, economic, and political opportunities by the dominant Somali clans. These groups represent over half of Somalia’s population and have faced atrocities like extrajudicial killings, torture, and burning of their villages. We seek to restore safety, equality, dignity, peace, and justice to these communities affected by civil war, terrorism, and discrimination. Our advocacy aims to create a just and peaceful Somalia where every citizen’s rights are protected. It’s crucial for the international community to act promptly to prevent further human rights violations, as these communities continue to resist nonviolently.

Motivation

Somalia’s marginalized Bantu communities reside in Southern and Southwestern Somalia, where they’re culturally distinct from the dominant Somali clans. These groups, known as “minority,” “others,” or “.5” groups, have been systematically deprived of opportunities, comprising 55% of Somalia’s population. Rights organizations have documented atrocities against them, including extrajudicial killings, arrests, rape, torture, and burning of their villages. We aim to restore safety, equality, dignity, peace, and justice for these communities affected by civil war, terrorism, and discrimination. We advocate for a just and peaceful Somalia where citizens’ rights are preserved, and the international community must act swiftly to prevent further harm.

Transparency

A thriving democracy relies on robust safeguards against corruption, which undermines public services and trust in the democratic system. Corruption can unfairly benefit incumbent politicians and enable foreign interference. Government accountability, transparency, and the rule of law are essential for exposing malfeasance and correcting harmful policies. Authoritarian leaders often disregard due process and exploit the justice system to target critics while enabling corruption and power abuse. Resilience Somali TV supports local initiatives to reinforce the rule of law, end torture, hold human rights violators accountable, and advocate for judicial reforms.
